Being in the medical field, I often read articles and see the research being done with stem cells. I know that in the near future stem cells will be an important part of healing injuries and reversing disease.
There are so many possible uses for stem cell therapy in the future, I couldn't think of one reason not to have the procedure!
I don't have any reason to use my stem cells now but I wanted to make sure that they would be available for when I need them in the future. I wish I had the option available to me when I was even younger.
The procedure was very tolerable with just a local anesthetic. There was minimal pain and no downtime. I was able to run 3 miles the next day. I would do it again and I would recommend it to anyone.
My 18 year old son is an athlete. I would love for him to do have the procedure so that he will have his stem cells available in case of injury.
